Monika Lisjak

Arizona State

Monika Lisjak is an Associate Professor in Marketing at the W. P. Carey School of Business, Arizona State University. Her research centers on understanding how consumer identities shape consumption and the impact of these behaviors on consumer health and well-being. Her work has appeared in leading journals in the field, including the Journal of Consumer Research, Journal of Marketing, Journal of Consumer Psychology, and the Journal of Personality and Social Psychology, and has been featured in several media outlets, such as The Economist, Forbes, Harvard Business Review, New York magazine, TIME magazine, and The Huffington Post. She currently serves on the editorial boards at Journal of Consumer Research, Journal of Marketing Research, and Journal of Consumer Psychology.

She received her PhD in marketing from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University, and then worked as an Assistant Professor in Marketing at Erasmus University in the Netherlands. She was a visiting research scholar at the Graduate School of Business, Stanford University.
