Jodie Whelan
York University
Jodie Whelan is an Associate Professor of Marketing at York University’s School of Administrative Studies. Her research explores how childhood experiences and situational influences shape consumer behaviour, and in particular, how people interact with and relate to brands. Her research has been funded by the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada (SSHRC) and published in marketing and psychology journals (e.g., Journal of Consumer Psychology, Psychology & Marketing, Personality and Individual Differences). She earned her Ph.D. in Marketing from the Ivey Business School, Western University where she was recognized as a Vanier Scholar.
